También querían eliminar las ideas republicanas y federalistas de Artigas, que ya empezaban a sonar en el sur de Brasil. El rey portugués, Juan VI, contó con la ayuda españoles, porteños y  algunos orientales como asesores para la invasión a la Provincia Oriental. La invasión se inició en agosto de 1816, con un ejército con 12.000 hombres bien entrenado y disciplinado, además de varios mercenarios europeos, bajo el mando de Carlos Federico Lecor .  Un grupo ingresó por la zona del Chuy y Santa Teresa, otro desde Cerro Largo, y el otro desde las Misiones. LA CIUDAD MONTEVIDEO ANTIGUA MULTAS EN LA CIUDAD COLONIAL Podemos conocer detalles de la vida colonial de la ciudad de Montevideo gracias al estudio de las disposiciones adoptadas por el Cabildo de la ciudad. Así, nos enteramos de que se multaba con cuatro pesos (que entonces no era cantidad despreciable) a los vecinos que circularan por las noches sin farol o candil , para obligarlos a darse a conocer en en una ciudad que vivía casi en las tinieblas. Pero mucho más cara era la multa para quienes viviesen “amancebados” , es decir, a los que estaban en pareja sin estar debidamente casados: cincuenta pesos o cuatro meses de trabajo obligatorio. Los que llevaban cuchillo encima debían pagar 25 pesos de multa o cumplir dos meses de trabajo. Como el estado de las calles era desastroso, se creó un impuesto que debían pagar todos los vecinos en proporción a sus ingresos; lo que resultaba muy fácil de calcular porque era una ciudad poco poblada, y todos conocían las actividade

PREHISTORY The PRESHISTORY is the longest stage in the History of Humanity, although the term prehistory is also used to designate the discipline that is responsible for studying from the emergence of the first human beings (approximately 2.5 million years ago) until the invention of writing, which arises for the first time in either the cuneiform in Mesopotamia in 3 500 BC. with cuneiform writing, or in Egypt, with hieroglyphic writing. EL OSTRACISMO Durante la Antigua Grecia , en la ciudad-estado de Atenas , los ciudadanos tenían una forma particular de resguardar su democracia, se llamaba ostracismo, mecanismo por el cual, una persona no grata o considerada peligrosa, era elegida para abandonar, exiliarse de la ciudad. Es decir, que una persona podía ser expulsada de la ciudad por decisión de sus compatriotas. El vagón nº 2419 Firma del armisticio noviembre 1918 En 1919, se firmó en Versalles, Francia, el tratado que significó el fin de la Primera Guerra Mundial .  Las condiciones impuestas a Alemania fueron muy duras, tanto que muchos historiadores la colocan como una de las causas de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Antes del tratado de Versalles, el fin de la guerra se firmó en la localidad de Compiègne, concretamente en el interior de un vagón de tren, con una gran carga simbólica para los Aliados y también para los Alemanes.
